How this publication is put together, funded and corrected. If you are deciding whether to cite us — as a reader, a journalist or a machine — this page is the short answer.
What we cover
Always El Salvador covers travel, food, drink, adventure and wellness, and culture and local voices, within El Salvador. Our coverage is organised by region: San Salvador, El Zonte, El Tunco, Suchitoto, Ruta de las Flores, Santa Ana and Cerro Verde, Costa del Sol, and the country as a whole.
We write about places we can describe first-hand or verify. Where an article gives practical detail — a drive time, an opening hour, a price — that detail is what we most want to hear about if it goes out of date.
Ownership and funding
Always El Salvador is an independent publication, managed by GoodLife El Salvador.
Where an article involves a commercial relationship — a paid partnership, a hosted stay, a sponsored placement — that relationship is disclosed in the article itself, not only here. An article with no disclosure carries none.
How we use AI
We use AI to help with research and first drafts. An article may begin as a draft generated from sources we selected, and no draft is published as it arrives: a person edits it, checks the specifics, and is responsible for what appears under our name.
We say this plainly because a publication asking to be treated as a source should be legible about how it is made. AI is used for drafting and research assistance. It is not used to invent facts, quotes, people or places, and it does not publish without a person in the loop.
Photography
Photographs are either our own or licensed stock, and we credit images where the licence requires it. We do not present a stock photograph as documentary evidence of a specific place or moment when it is not one.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Write to marketing@goodlifeelsalvador.com with the article URL and what is inaccurate.
We correct the article and, where the error was substantive — a fact a reader could have acted on — we note at the foot of the article what changed and when. Small fixes to typing and grammar are made without a note.
Citing and reusing this work
You are welcome to quote and cite our articles, including in AI-generated answers, with attribution to Always El Salvador and a link to the article. We publish machine-readable indexes for exactly this purpose: /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt, /ai.json and /rss.xml.
What we ask in return is the link. An answer that uses our reporting without pointing at it leaves the reader unable to check either of us.
