1. What We Collect

Newsletter: When you subscribe, we store your email address. Nothing else. This is stored in our Resend account and used exclusively to send you the Always El Salvador newsletter.

Comments: When you leave a comment, we store the name you provide and your comment text. Comments are moderated before appearing publicly.

Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to understand how many people visit our site, which articles are popular, and where visitors come from (country-level only). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or track individual users.

We do NOT collect: Passwords, payment information, precise location, IP addresses, or any personal data beyond what you voluntarily provide.

2. How We Use It

Your email is used only to send you the newsletter you subscribed to. Your comment name and text are displayed publicly on the article page after approval. Analytics data helps us improve our content. We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

3. Your Rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email. To delete a comment or request data removal, email us at marketing@goodlifeelsalvador.com. We respond within 48 hours.

We use one functional cookie (admin_token) for the admin panel login. No tracking cookies, no ads, no third-party cookies.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our database (Supabase) encrypts data at rest. We use Content Security Policy headers to prevent XSS attacks. Rate limiting protects our APIs from abuse.
